Stacey Bishop, R.H.N.

Stacey Bishop R.H.N. graduated from The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition twelve years ago. Upon completion of the program, she opened a private practice ‘Health & Harmony’ in 2000, which she consults on a one-on-one basis and contracts for wellness seminars. She has done various public speaking events in health & nutrition for the Canadian Cancer Society, The MTAA (Massage Therapist Association of Alberta) and local corporations.
Stacey opened the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Calgary location in 2001. The first class commenced with four students and now in 2011, there are three classes offered exceeding one hundred students. She is now venturing to open the Edmonton branch of The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is striving to have classes open for fall 2012.
Her mandate is to help educate people in holistic nutrition not only to better their health, but also their quality of life. The ability to create awareness and give people the tools needed to regain their health & wellness has been very rewarding and has largely contributed to her professional & personal success in life.


Dr. Joe Klassen

Dr. Klassen is a graduate of the Bastyr University of Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle, WA., the leading educator in science-based natural medicine. He completed his science prerequisites at Mount Royal College in Calgary, AB. Dr. Klassen also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan. After a career in the stressful world of Fortune 500 companies, he decided to make a radical change into the emerging field of natural and alternative medicine. This experience has given him a real-world perspective on health challenges in our community. Dr. Klassen is the principal doctor at Fish Creek Naturopathic Medicine in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Klassen has a special interest in the naturopathic principle of Docere or "Doctor as Teacher". Accordingly, he teaches anatomy and physiology, cellular biology and pathology at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition's Calgary branch, in addition to his public seminars on Preconception Healthcare, Fertility Management, and Stress Adaptation. In addition, he does wellness consulting and health education for individual organizations.

Ariel Learoyd, BA, RSW

Ariel Learoyd, BA, RSW is a registered Social Worker, licensed massage therapist and Reiki Master. She established Mandala Whole Health Services (formerly Ariel Energetix) as a private therapy practice in 2000 to assist clients through transition to physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing utilizing contemporary healing techniques which support whole system health.

Ariel holds a Bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology (University of Alberta), a Bachelors degree in Social Work (University of Calgary), a diploma in Massage Therapy from the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, Virginia and is a teaching Reiki Master. She is also certified by the International Centre for Reiki training as a Karuna® Reiki Master.

Ariel teaches at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition as well as writing and conducting classes in Meditation, Archetypes, Beginning through Advanced and Master Reiki, and Karuna Reiki training. She consults to education and health care professionals, creating and conducting programs, workshops and training which connect traditional and non-traditional ways of understanding and creating health.

Ariel is the author and facilitator for Engaging the Body and Mind for Wellness, a program which employs Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness training for professionals in health, education and human services and for those who wish to incorporate mindfulness as a part of their self care practice.

Orsolya Magyar, R.H.N., Registered Holistic Nutritionist (2008), M.Sc.

Orsha received her Masters of Science in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia in 2008. She was a Teaching Assistant from 2004 through 2007 in Psychology and Behavioural Neuroscience at U.B.C. and a Research Technician from 2006 to 2008. Orsha refereed publications and published abstracts and conference presentations from 2004 through 2006 and is our expert on Mental Illness and Nutrition and Optimum Nutrition for the Mind and shares her vast knowledge with our students. Orsha currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, and Optimum Nutrition for the Mind.

Dr. David Manning

Dr. Manning is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON. This four-year Doctorate program includes the medical science courses and health sciences common to a medical education, with the added benefit of learning botanical medicine, physical medicine, hydrotherapy, homoeopathy, counselling, acupuncture and clinical nutrition as treatment options. He completed his science prerequisites at the University of Guelph, and at CCNM prior to entering the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program.
Previously Dr. Manning studied music and philosophy at the University of Western Ontario. After a brief career as a musician, he shifted into the world of business running his own companies then working for one of the top 100 companies in Canada. He then realized his calling into the world of alternative health care and went back to school to become a Naturopathic Doctor.
Dr. Manning currently lives and practices in Calgary, Alberta, after moving from a successful clinic based in Toronto Ontario. Dr. Manning is a member of the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and is licenced in both Alberta and Ontario as a Naturopathic Doctor.
Dr. Manning has also been a certified personal trainer and has been practising yoga for the past 10+ years and is a certified Ashtanga yoga teacher and taught for six years. His desire to combine the mind-body-spirit connection into his philosophy of health has created an overall philosophy to his naturopathic practice.
Dr. Manning's practice is a Family Medicine practice and welcomes all ages with diverse concerns and conditions, for primary care or co-management with your standard health care physician.

I have been interested in whole, natural foods and alternative lifestyles (environmental sustainability, permaculture, etc.) since 2000 and have been working in Natural Food retail environments since 2001. My interests and pursuits have led me to attaining a nutrition diploma from CSNN and my current university pursuits will lead me further to attain a Naturopathic Doctor degree in the coming years.
